Lunda Community Center- Black River Falls, WI

May 4, 2026
What a great day at the Lunda Community Center in Black River Falls! 41 volunteers gathered to make Roman’s Wraps. Forever grateful for ALL the volunteers who give of their time and talents. Thank you to the Lunda Center for providing this great space to work. How did we do? Each time we have one of these events, people want to know how many wraps we made. It’s always hard to break it down exactly because there’s lots of behind the scenes prep by volunteers for these events like cutting the pieces and making as many pocket linings ahead of time. So, when we gather, the wraps are in different stages and that’s good because then everyone has a job to do from the get go. Here’s the breakdown: 1. 87 completed wraps were sewn at home by volunteers and brought to the Lunda Center to be packaged. 2. By the end of the day, 184 wraps were packaged. 3. In addition, 86 wraps were completed to the point of top stitching and labels 4. 76 wraps were to the point of trimming, turning, top stitching and labeling 5. 21 leftover pockets/liners in need of batting and Minky 6. So, 260 really close to finish. 7. If one person did this on his/her own, that would take a minimum of 260 hours or 6.5 weeks of work. 8. Volunteers willing took home wraps to finish up. 8. As my mom always said, “Many hands make for fast work.” Roman’s Wraps are only made possible by the time, talents, love, and dedication of the volunteers. Forever grateful!
